Payments

Our System

We have very simple system; you must pay up front for services, example would be if you started service in May then we require payment before we start service.  You will be invoiced for the next month's services around the 25th and we expect payment by the last day of the month.  If we don't receive payment before the 1st of the next month then service will be suspended until payment is made.

If you want to pay but have missed a service visit(s) due to suspension, we will re-invoice you and deduct the missing service visit(s) from your bill.  We just won't provide services unless we are paid.

Why so harsh you might ask?  When this business was up and running before we used to let customers pay after services were already provided on the assumption they would pay for the services.  For a few bad apples, we were constantly asking to be paid and it was very frustrating for everyone involved.  This time around it just makes more sense to have it paid upfront.  If you are going to be away or just don't require our services for a particular week, just let us know and we can deduct this amount from your next invoice.  Or if you know ahead of time, we will deduct it from the current invoice.  The only exception to this rule is "Spring Clean Ups" as it is a one time service but we do expect to be paid at the end of the job or we will return the poop to the yard and not in bags. 

We don't want to spend extra time chasing customers for payments so this system makes sense and it is how we operate, sorry we won't budge on this issue.  You pay us and we provide the services, easy peasy.

There are no contracts to be signed or adhered to so you are free to cancel services for the next month if you wish to do so because you have already paid for the services you have received. 

How can I pay?

Our preferred method of payment is PayPal (handled by Just A Click Away MarketPlace).  Want to pay by debit or credit card, PayPal allows for that just by clicking "Don't have a PayPal account" (see example).

We will also accept Email Money Transfers or Cash (can be left for us or given in person and we will issue a receipt.  We will accept a cheque but will not provide services until the cheque clears.  If by chance there is insufficient funds and we are charged by the bank, you will be charged $35.00 for this incovenience.  If you refuse to pay this amount, we will file a case in small claims against you.  We would prefer to be not paid by cheque, please note that paying with cash is always an option.  If you are  going to pay by cheque please make it payable to Susan Laffan (this  is  the Owner/Operator of PoopBGone) and write "PoopBgone" in the message.

Policies

  • Prices are based on an average size backyard.  If your yard is deemed to be larger than average, we have the right to adjust our pricing accordingly.  This will be made known to you before services begin.

  • For any service, your yard must be free of snow and ice in order for us to completely remove dog feces, this is especially true for Spring Clean ups.  If a second visit is required at a later date, this will cost extra (unless you require weekly or bi-weekly services)

  • Leaves in the Fall can also be an issue as they can cover up the dog feces and make it hard to find.  Please keep the leaves tidied up as best as you can as we will only scoop the poop that is visible.  Keeping your lawn tidy is also recommended as we will not go through long grass to find dog poop.

  • No contracts are necessary for the Weekly, Bi-Weekly or Monthly services.

  • Seniors and Assistance Dog owners receive a 10% Discount on all services.

  • We will invoice  for your services in advance of being provided.  Payments are due upon receipt of invoice.

  •  Service will be suspended/cancelled if payment is not received by the end of the month (example:  An invoice for July must be paid by the end of June).

  • NSF cheques will incur a $35.00 service fee and will be added to your next invoice.

  • New clients may be subject to an initial cleanup fee if there is an excessive amount of waste accumulation.  This will be determined before the service commences.

  • You do not have to be home when we service your yard but the gate must be unlocked on your service day.  We would prefer it if your dog was not in the yard while we poop scoop, but if your dog is friendly and behaves (not jumping up, can be messy on wet days), we can work in your yard along side your pet; but if your dog does not let us gain access to your yard because he/she is being a good watch-dog then we will not be able to complete the service call.  Please note that either in this case or if we cannot access the yard due to a locked gate, you will be charged for the visit.

  • We do not use cleaners nor do we rinse any surfaces to remove any debris that may be left over.

  • We do not repair damaged grass and please note that we will not search in overgrown to look for dog feces.

  • For any cancellations, suspension in service or any other changes in service we require 48 hours notice in advance.

  • Our service runs from Spring until October 31st (or until start of snow) as it will be to cold to efficiently remove the poop from your lawn without damage (frost).

  • Service is postponed in heavy rainfall.  A credit for this visit will not be issued as service will provided on the next day, weather permitting.  We will let you know by email if changes to your schedule will occur.

  • We reserve the right to change pricing, cancel or refuse service.
